Senegal’s gold industry is accelerating. After producing more than 10 tonnes in 2025, the country could extract around 16 tonnes in 2026, according to forecasts reported this week. First-half production already reached 8.2 tonnes, up 35% year on year. This increase reflects new capacity ramping up, but does not yet guarantee the full-year result.
