Angola: Caculo Cabaça’s first turbine expected in June 2027
The first turbine at Angola’s Caculo Cabaça hydroelectric plant is expected to enter service in June 2027, according to the schedule announced during a government site visit on October 17. Located on the Kwanza River, the project has planned installed capacity of 2,172 megawatts. Overall progress stands at 57.48%, while completion of all work is now targeted for August 2029.
